17/04/07 Sodoma e Gomorra ficam no Centro de SP (e a demolição do São Vito)

Desde que eu comecei a trabalhar no canto mais largado do centro de São Paulo, em agosto do ano passado, na região conhecida como cracolândia, eu comecei a estudar como funciona a cabeça de alguém que, como eu, cai de para-quedas por aqui.

A primeira tendência é ignorar ou ter dó; depois vem a curiosidade ou solidariedade (comigo foi curiosidade) , depois o habito. E nesse meio tempo, um assalto me fez começar a pensar sobre como resolver essa decadência da região. Não importa como foi, ou porque mas é fato que muitos dos habitantes da região chegaram à um estado inversível de vício[bb]; viciaram em crack, em cheirar cola, em roubar, em ser sustentado pelos outros: sobram vícios.

Consertar, não tem como. Exterminar de uma vez por todas é crime e vai conta os valores cristãos da nossa sociedade. O jeito é fazer que nem farelo de bolacha quando cai no teclado: assoprar para dissipar. Parece que a prefeitura paulistana enxergou as coisas desse jeito.

O nosso atual prefeito, Kassab, não tem o menor compromisso de se re-eleger, ganhou a prefeitura de presente do Serra e aproveitou para fazer o que ninguém que preza pela popularidade faria, ou seja, colocar em prática a lei Cidade Limpa para tirar das ruas sinalizações excessivas e agora resolveram fazer uma versão radical do “embelezamento” da cidade, que pretende demolir prédios invadidos e abandonados do centro. Fala-se bastante da possível demolição do São Vito (o treme-treme) mas a iniciativa tente a se expandir por todo o centro.

Eu adorei quando soube. Na hora lembrei do dia do assalto, em que o policial disse para mim “Olha, se o cara tiver num bar tentando vender seu celular a gente pega ele mas se ele entrar nesses prédios ai [apontando para um prédio podre] não tem jeito, a gente não entra“. Sem estes prédios descuidados e abandonados pelos proprietários, onde esse povo ia se esconder? Lugar nenhum, ótimo, ao meu ver. Mas a idéia de fazer a limpa nestes prédios não é bem vista por algumas pessoas por 2 motivos principais:

1 -Vai destruir um patrimônio arquitetônico[bb] da cidade.
Mas como eu não acredito que prédis sujos, caindo aos pedaços tenham algum apelo estético, guardar bem as plantas resolve. Talvez até guardar ornamentos da fachada e usar em outros lugares, vender para um Velhão da vida, algo assim.

2 - Estes prédios poderiam ser transformados em conjuntos habitacionais populares.
Okay, exagero meu mas o que menos se vê circulando aqui pelo centro são pais de família incapazes de sustentar os filhos. Na verdade, os que tem filhos os escravizam, seja pedindo dinheiro, seja vendendo doce. Além da prefeitura já ter explicado que prédios como o São Vito nunca serão revitalizados à um preço que possa ser vendido como habitação popular, não dúvido nada que unidades fossem cair na mão de drogados que trocariam a posse do apartamento por umas “pedinhas” de crack[bb]. Logo, é mais inteligente investir em reurbanizar favelas e construir conjuntos habitacionais em bairros conhecidos como bairros pobres mas não como centros de uso indiscriminado de drogas.

Sem o perigo de assaltos ou tropeçar em alguém usando droga na calçada, provavelmente empresas privadas estarão dispostas à investir na região e aproveitar a infra-estrutura. Afinal, tem metrô, trêm e ônibus para todos os lados, dentro e fora da cidade. Tem onde comer, onde estudar (Fatec, Unipalmares, Anhembi Morumbi, Senac), onde passear (Pinacoteca, Salve Jorge, Teatro Municipal, Bar do Léo), onde se hospedar com muita ou pouca grana (Hotel da Accor, Marabá, o famoso hotel do crime da mala) tudo aqui no centro. Tem muito menos tecnologia mas mais charme e infra-estrutura pública do que a Berrini; só falta a parte hi-tech, para a qual ainda não tem demanda.

Ou seja, demolir tudo aqui vai espalhar os nóias pelos 4 cantos da cidade, o que pode não parecer bom mas pelo menos é melhor que eles todos concentrados (na minha opinião) e vai ajudar a desenvolver o centro, o que poderia não ter utilidade nenhuma se o centro não tivesse tanto recurso sendo ‘desperdiçado’ por causa dessa má (e merecida) fama. e eu não vejo a hora que isso aconteça.
